Toddlers (2-3yrs)

We at kinfolk strongly believe in encouraging young minds to think and stimulate their own abilities. We focus on enhancing learning through senses including vision, smell ,taste, sound and touch; through which these young minds gather information and learn to express themselves.

“Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn.”

Sensorial

The children explore the world around them through their senses. In the Montessori method, sensorial activities help the child explore the world through all five senses.

Activities include bead stringing, matching color tablets, matching smelling boxes, working on puzzles and comparing smooth and rough objects of different sizes.

Language

Language activities in the Toddlers Program are based on the foundation established in the first two years of a child’s life. The language materials include objects and pictures to be named, matched, labeled, and classified to aid vocabulary development.

Textured letters allow the child to feel and see the alphabet helping the child learn the phonetic sounds of the alphabet. Lots of singing, finger plays, stories and “conversation time” make language learning fun. A wide variety of reading materials are used to gain proficiency and a love of reading.
